Surgeons at the OCHC evaluate and treat nearly 1,000 hernias per year. All abdominal hernias are treated including inguinal (groin), incisional, epigastric, ventral, hiatal, sports and recurrent hernias (those that have been repaired before).

The Ohio Comprehensive Hernia Center can help in arranging lodging for families of out of town patients undergoing large, complex hernia repair. Patients are offered the option of an outpatient or inpatient facility depending on the patient’s situation.

Surgeons at the OCHC are certified by the American Board of Surgery and affiliated with the American College of Surgeons and the American Hernia Society.

OCHC surgeons are affiliated with Riverside Methodist Hospital and Knightsbridge Surgery Center.
